vWD CARRIER  - OFA GOOD

NOTE: Though we bred and co-own this dog, he in not of a quality that we would ever consider using in a breeding program.

Our policy regarding the homes we are looking for is evolving, in response to experience. Though this has always been our policy, we realize a need to emphasize this more strongly: Going forward we wish to be very clear, if your expectation is that you will purchase a dog from us and then run off and start some version of a breeding line, with a dog we've bred, doing breeding[s] we do not approve of, we are going to be very public about our disapproval. We have worked for well over thirty years to be in a position to produce the quality we produce. Our dogs are a reflection of our knowledge and experience. They are the result of hundreds of thousands of hours of time, energy, love and devotion, 24 hours, 7 days a week, for decades.  The show records of our dogs reflect commitment and sacrifice, and thousands and thousands of dollars spent, and an equal measure of time, love and devotion, over decades. The reason we are successful is that we know what we are doing.  Emphatically, if we feel a dog is worthy of contribution in the next generation, we have retained the dog. There is no Logres dog or Logres pedigree that we are not intimately familiar with. If you want our dogs in your pedigree, come to us. We will give you an objective evaluation of the dog.

Finishing an AKC title, most especially if the handler is renown for his skill in putting dogs together, is not sufficient reason to use the dog in a breeding program.  Below are photos of two young puppies:  Logres' DiMaggio (on left) and Ch. Logres' Feinbrand (a.k.a. Vaako) on the right. These photos are of  these dogs at the same age. If you can not see the obvious difference in the structural quality of DiMaggio over Feinbrand, you do not understand structure.  Note: as lovely as he is, we are placing DiMaggio as a pet.

There is a reason we do not show a full body shot of Vaako...
at maturity he looks like this when standing on his own (and not sculpted by a skilled handler). In our opinion, if you can not see the obvious faults of this dog, you should not be breeding dogs because you haven't a clue what you are doing.
